Haramara Retreat

Sayulita, Mexico ~ April 25th - May 1st, 2026

The Experience…

This retreat is a calling home—a gentle return to your most authentic, regulated self. It’s a rare chance to slow down, to step away from the noise of modern life, and finally create space for yourself.

At Haramara, we offer more than a place—we offer presence. Imagine practicing yoga in an open-air palapa with sweeping views of jungle and sea, where every breath feels sacred. Experience the ancient healing of a temescal ceremony, inviting you to reconnect with the rhythms of the earth and the wisdom of your body. Nourish yourself with five-star, farm-to-table meals crafted with intention and love. Treat your whole being with mind, body, and soul therapies that leave a lasting imprint.

Fill your days with as much or as little as you desire—from surfing and snorkeling to chasing hidden waterfalls, or simply sinking into stillness beside the infinity pool, where the horizon seems to stretch forever.

This is more than a retreat. It’s an invitation to step back in time, to remember the parts of you the world may have forgotten. To come home to yourself.

Haramara Retreat Center

Haramara Retreat Center is a calling to a remote sanctuary where the untouched jungle of Sayulita, Mexico, meets the wild Pacific coastline. Tucked away in nature’s embrace, this sacred and stunning place was lovingly shaped by hands (not machines) from pathways once carved out by animals to intentionally crafted open-air palapas. With no Wi-Fi, limited cell service, and no electricity, modern distractions melt away, inviting you to truly disconnect. Here, candlelight and soft lanterns guide your evenings, while the rhythmic sound of the ocean and the scent of the jungle soothe your senses. Outdoor jungle showers and immersive natural beauty reconnect you to something ancient, grounding, and real. Haramara isn’t just a retreat—it’s a return to your most authentic self.

We invite you to let go, surrender, and trust us. You’ve never had an experience quite like this before, and you need it. We all do ~

FAQs

  • The Temazcal or Sweatlodge Ceremony is a very ancient purification ceremony that has been used in many cultures, mostly in the Native American and Mexican cultures, for various purposes such as healing, praying, preparing for battles or for long ceremonies. It symbolizes the cycle of death and rebirth, the shedding of old skin, the embracing of our shadow and light and the experience of being One with Great Spirit – the Whole.

The Temazcal is a sacred space, a medicine for humanity and a place for sharing, giving and receiving in a balanced way. The Ceremony is a journey that cannot be described completely; you have to experience it for yourself. It is a journey, with many colors and sensations, which is sometimes challenging and sometimes beautiful as we learn to go deeper and flow with the energies of the Elements.

  • For a taste of Mexico, head into the traditional Mexican town of Sayulita and spend the day browsing the shops and strolling around while taking in all the sights and sounds of this beachside surf and vacation enclave.

Sayulita is a shopper’s paradise. Dozens of boutiques and roadside stalls have been set up all over the town, where artisans, craftspeople, seamstresses, woodcarvers, painters, etc are kept busy supplying the tourist demand.

Surfing has been one of the major attractions of Sayulita since the first surfers came to town around the early 70’s.

Sayulita should be on every surfer’s to-do list, whether you are a beginner looking to try wave-riding through your first surf lesson, a skilled surfer hoping to get barreled at one of Sayulita’s legendary spots, or a pro hoping to test your tube-riding skills and airs while riding one of the world’s most perfect waves.
